They were amazing the next day. You can make your own powdered sugar though with cornstarch and white sugar by finding a recipe online! Is it okay if I will add mini marshmallows in it? Taste is wonderful…they would be perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Really had to kept an eye on the baking time though ’cause I have a differrent oven. The large amount of sugar makes them a little chewy.
Hi is the butter 1 whole cup melted or 8 oz stick melted? You’ll absolutely be able too, that sounds great, but may result in a sweeter brownie. Added walnuts & cranberries into the batter and my kitchen really smells chocolatey while it was baking. I threw in over 1 cup of chocolate chunks IN AND ON these (I used 45% cocoa chocolate), but you can also add: Start with 1/2 cup each add in, or 1 cup if using only one option. Hi! I made them for a friend who was begging me for brownies but i ended up eating the whole thing myself. If you love chewy gooey brownies look no further. I love salt with chocolate, but the large grains were a bit much. It was easy and so delicious!

Hi Dino, the finer your granulated sugar, the more the crackly top will happen. The looks is so yummy. I’d try them again with eggs for a different occasion or look specifically for an egg-free recipe , I definitely want to try these again, and that’s exactly what I should’ve done, find a recipe that used applesauce to begin with.

I made these today and they were a smash hit! I just switched from my usual brownie recipe (that uses melted dark chocolate instead of cocoa powder) and this was SO.MUCH.BETTER.
I did add 1 packet of Starbucks Via instant coffee to kick up the chocolate as well as some toasted walnuts. WOW.

I was nervous at how thick the batter looked but these are soooo chocolate and yummy like bakery quality. I just really want to try them! However, regular cocoa powder may be substituted with great results. The brownies will store tightly covered on the counter for 1-2 days or in the freezer for a couple weeks. I made them an they were SO DELICIOUS! I just added one cup of organic granulated sugar instead of 1 and 1/4 c and I used Trader Joes brand unsweetened cocoa powder. Also, I found letting them sit for a couple of hours helps firm them up before cutting. * I folded the flour mixture into the butter, sugar, eggs, etc with a spatula, by hand, only until dry ingredients were mixed well.

Hi, Dee I’ve made these twice now and I’ve come to the conclusion that cooking them on the top oven rack is critical to getting them to cook correctly. We added reeses pieces on top! They are in the oven right now, and the smell is awesome! I just made these and they are delicious!! I’ll never buy boxed brownies again. These are the BEST brownies I’ve ever made!
Id like to make this an espresso brownie. I did only use 1 cup of white sugar and honestly, I probably could have cut even more. The batter tasted great and sweet but the brownie was not too sweet. Might cut down on the sugar next time. These are absolutely amazing! Remove the baking pan from the oven using oven mitts or kitchen towels, then lightly drop the pan on a flat surface 1-2 times until the brownies deflate slightly. Too sweet.

I cannot say enough on how tasty they were. They were still really really gooey so I cut them the next morning after letting them cool overnight.
